About Us
Asia—home to 61% of the world’s population—is the largest and least evangelized continent. It is the only continent where Christianity is not the major religion. This pressing spiritual reality led to the birth of Asian Evangelical Bible Seminary (AEBS), formerly known as Asian Mission College. God gave a clear vision to Rev. Dr. Z. Mhasi, our Founder and President, to raise and equip faithful servants and missionaries to bring the Good News to Asia’s unreached. That vision took shape with the inauguration of AEBS on June 28, 2008.
What began as a small step of faith—with just seven students in its first academic year—has grown into a vibrant institution. From the beginning, AEBS has relied entirely on God’s provision—spiritually, financially, and practically. Through the years, we have witnessed countless testimonies of His faithfulness and divine guidance. AEBS continues its mission, deeply rooted in faith, to raise leaders who will boldly carry out the Great Commission across Asia and beyond.
Our Location
Asian Evangelical Bible Seminary is located in Nagaland, one of India’s most beautiful and culturally rich Christian states—often called the “Switzerland of the East.” Nestled in the eastern Himalayas and sharing borders with Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, and China, Nagaland enjoys a pleasant sub-alpine climate year-round.
Nagaland is not only geographically strategic for South Asian missions, but it is also spiritually unique—over 95% of its two million people are Christians. Its people are known for their warmth, courage, hospitality, and generosity. Missionaries from this small yet vibrant land have already taken the gospel far beyond its borders. Nagaland stands as a testimony of the transformative power of the Gospel, a land where Christian mission has taken deep root and continues to grow.
Mission Statement
Asian Evangelical Bible Seminary is evangelical in practice, missionary in emphasis and cooperative in spirit. It is to glorify God by training servants of Jesus Christ for the edification of the Church and the urgent evangelization of the World. AEBS affirms the centrality of the Bible as vital in all the process of Education.
Our Purpose
Asia forms one quarter of the world’s surface area. Sixty one percent of the world’s population lives in Asia. Yet Asia is the least evangelized continent in the world. More than eighty three percent of all non-Christians live in Asia. Asian Evangelical Bible Seminary works towards the vision ofreaching the unreachedpeople groupthroughout Asian countries with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And for this, AEBS tries to equip and instill students and disciples with theological education and biblical truths, who in turn will move out to share the same to people in different parts of Asia.
Objectives
- To awaken the student in a clear sense of mission through a complete dedication to Jesus Christ as Lord of all life.
- To equip students with sound theological education and biblical truths.
- To train the students to develop a biblical worldview to combat contemporary secular ideologies and philosophical worldviews.
- To instill vital missionary vision and dedication to worldwide service.
- To foster Christian culture in terms of refinement, appreciation, social attitude, and skill through application of learning.
- To strengthen cooperation in international societies.
Our Mission
Asian Evangelical Bible Seminary is dedicated to fulfilling the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our strategy addresses the urgent need for missionaries in Asia by preparing trained leaders for global evangelization. Every student is challenged and encouraged to fully commit to Jesus Christ for Gospel ministry—both at home and abroad.
Educational Standing
AEBS strives to uphold the highest standards of education within its specialized ministry as a Bible College and Seminary. Guided by the conviction of its founder, the seminary remains committed to strong biblical foundations and academic excellence.
