Asian Evangelical Bible Seminary was founded on prayer, and desires that the entire college life revolves around this privilege and duty. Each class is opened with prayer. There are dawn prayer, dormitory prayer groups, a weekly college prayer meeting, monthly prayer and fasting, whole night chain of prayer, and missionary prayer bands to pray for the interest and needs of specific fields.
Chapel, an integral part of the AEBS program, is held for 30 minutes from Monday to Friday at 10:40 A.M. - 11:15 A.M. and is required of all students and staff. There is evening Vesper from Monday to Friday between 6:00 P.M. - 7:30 P.M. Attendance in chapel/vespers is mandatory for all students. The Chaplain will assign and direct the chapel activities. The students are expected to bring Bible, Hymnal and notebook to each chapel service. Unexcused absence from any chapel/vespers will be treated as unexcused absence from the class. Thus it will result in the reduction of points from the field education grade.
Each student will be assigned to a faculty member for counseling, prayer and for sharing all other spiritual and emotional problems. The students should exercise their freedom to make appointments with the concerned faculty for prayer, counsel, etc. There will be mentoring sessions twice in a month.
There will be a mass fasting first Sunday of each month. Apart from this, the college authority will conduct prayer and fasting sessions before any important event or programs and whenever deemed necessary.
There will be chain prayer every Friday night. The chaplain/students representatives will make the timetable for each group to pray.
